BOARD MEMEBERS

Saul Berman, Rabbi, J.D., a member of the faculty of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah, is also Director of Edah as well as Associate Professor of Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University School of Law. Rabbi Berman was previously Chair of the Department of Judaic Studies at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University, and Senior Rabbi of the Lincoln Square Synagogue in Manhattan.

Jonathan Cohen, Ph.D., L.L.B. is Assistant Professor of Talmud and Halachic Literature at the Cincinnati campus of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He is also the Director of the Center for the Study of Contemporary Moral Problems affiliated with the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Cohen coordinates the only M.A. and Ph.D. programs in the country that focus on Jewish Law and Ethics.

William Cutter, Rabbi, Ph.D. is the Paul and Trudi Steinberg Professor of Human Relations, Professor of Education and Modern Hebrew Literature, and Lecturer in Chaplaincy at the Los Angeles campus of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He is also the Director of the Kalsman Institute on Judaism and Health.

Elliot Dorff, Rabbi, Ph.D. is Rector of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, Sol and Anne Dorff Professor of Philosophy, and Chair of Bioethics at the University of Judaism in Los Angeles. He is the author of the acclaimed text, "Matters of Life and Death."

David Teutsch, Rabbi, Ph.D. is Director of the Levin-Leiber Program in Jewish Ethics and the Center for Jewish Ethics, The Louis and Myra Wiener Professor of Contemporary Jewish Civilization, and the Chair of the Department of Contemporary Jewish Civilization at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. He served as President of the College from 1993-2002.

Gerald Wolpe, Rabbi, D.Div. is Rabbi Emeritus of Har Zion Temple in Wynnewood, Pa., where he served for more than 30 years. He currently directs the Louis Finkelstein Institute for Religious and Social Studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.

Paul Root Wolpe, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Sociology, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, and Faculty Associate at the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Wolpe also serves as Chief of Bioethics and Human Subjects Protections at NASA and as Senior Fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics.

Noam Zohar, Rabbi, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute, Jerusalem, where he directs the Center for the Study of Medicine, Ethics, and Halacha. He is also on the faculty of Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel where he directs the Graduate Program in Bioethics.
